We have a brand new 2017 Mazda MX-5 convertible to drive for the entire week for my automobile review over the Civic long weekend, so we decided to visit my good friend in Kingston, Ontario. It was suggested that we should check out Three Dog Winery, located in Picton, Ontario before visiting my buddy in Kingston, Ontario and and it was a great decision!
Three Dog Winery is a nice little brick house, inside you get to taste a number of wines made by them. You can taste from red wine to white wine to rose. The staff who served us some wine to taste happened to be the winery owner & yoga instructor. Her name is Sacha Squair who told us how the “Three Dog Winery” name was originated, she said it’s based on the three Golden Retrievers that always live here at the winery. She wanted Three Dog Winery to become a place to be the gathering for the community from near and far.
The wine here all tasted good. Luv the back patio with umbrellas, chairs, comfy sofa and tables. There are picnic tables further out on the grass for bigger groups. This place is so chilled that we stayed there for a number of hours. Live music. Woodoven Pizza that serves the nice and simple margherita pizza or chicken sausage pizza or vegetarian pizza. The aroma of the wooden stove smells so good.
Best part? If you buy any bottle of Three Dog Winery, they won’t charge you for the wine tasting. Coz each sample of wine tasting is $1.00. And this is the best part, you can buy a bottle of wine and asked for a few wine glasses, you can open your purchased bottle of wine on the spot and indulge. Bottle of wine ranges from $13.75 to anything over $20 CDN. It is reasonably priced and I luv the vibe from this hidden gem. I highly recommend anyone who is visiting Kingston, Ontario or around the area to check out Three Dog Winery.
