If you look closer in the picture. Yup! That’s me! I am back from my Tokyo Trip coz I need to protect & fight some robots in Mississauga.
LOL. Virtual Robots that is!
I am here at Virtual Galaxies trying out some of its virtual reality games at its 2200 square feet of open space.
What’s different about Virtual Galaxies is that you are able to roam & move around physically in the game. I know many other virtual stores, they simply put goggles on you & you basically sit or stand around in 1 spot and watch or just play in one spot.
Not at Virtual Galaxies, they give you a head gear, visual goggles, microphone (so you can communicate with your teammates) and a backpack of some sort so that you can roam in its state-of-the-art big venue space. It’s a good workout & definitely give you a more true VR experience.
Overall, it was an unique and cool experience. The only drawback for the Virtual Galaxies is its location is a bit far for anyone who lives in the downtown core or in the east end, coz the store is located in the west part of Mississauga. But this is understandable consider a roaming VR experience requires lots of space and to keep rent cost down, finding a place that is somewhat remote is unavoidable. Anyhow, if you do like VR games, you will do whatever it takes to get there. And with a cool experience at Virtual Galaxies, it’s worth the visit!
I hope to visit Virtual Galaxies again to try out its zombie game!
