Hello everyone!

A new Chinese restaurant, 利苑海鮮粵菜 (Lucky Seafood House) is now open at 7270 Woodbine Avenue. In case you wonder, wait a minute, isn’t there another restaurant named “Double Lucky”. Double Lucky 陶陶居海鮮酒家 is one of our Chang’s favourite restaurant. In fact, my parents would come here at least 2 or 3 times a week. They moved from the shopping plaza across from Markville Mall to this new location at 7270 Woodbine Avenue.

In summary, the owner and management moved location from across the Markville Mall to here at 7270 Woodbine Avenue. New name “Lucky Seafood House” but under the same culinary team, ownership and management. They just changed from “Double Lucky” to “Lucky”. LOL

For reference point, they are located across the Mayfair Fitness Centre, which is close to the Denison Street and Woodbine, which is super close to the Hwy 404. It’s on the ground floor underneath a business building. There are lots of parking spots.

This restaurant is much much bigger than its original location. It’s very modern, more classy, clean and fine dining. They have implemented new table cloth, new chairs, new tables, even the dim sum steam baskets and utensils are all-new.

NOTE: There is a long walk before you reach the entrance door, and the ramp for wheelchair and baby strollers is a bit steep and ghetto. I hope the management can find a more permanent solution as currently, it’s a bit of a safety hazards for those who rely on the wooden ramp to get down to the door entrance, so please becareful!

At Lucky Seafood House, it serves dim sum and fine-dinning dinner combo and a la carte dishes for dinner. Overall, the food menu offerings are pretty much the same and similar prices as before. The food quality is consistent and is on-point, just the way we like it.

In summary, I am super glad that Lucky Seafood House is open as I miss a lot of its food offerings. Although it’s a lot further away from Markville Mall, it’s still worth our drive to visit here occasionally, just seeing old friends like the owner and Nelson would be icing on the cake, catching up with old friends and familiar faces.
