DASHA Toronto is going to be a hoppin hotspot on King Street West. Michelin Star Chef Akira Back, along with his culinary team are creating an Asian Fusion restaurant, featuring modern Chinese food items coupled with specialty cocktails. The best part I like about this place is its decor. It brought back many classic Asian decorations, Chinese writings but making it cool again in a modern and nostalgic way.
The ground floor has so many unique dining booth and tables along with the central bar.
Food is delicious and great fresh ingredients, I enjoyed the wasabi shrimps, har gao (shrimp dumplings) and black cod.
Cocktails, you should try the Halo Halo, a Filipino cocktails featuring coconut and UBE ingredients, so delicious.
Best yet, as you walk across the washrooms, there is a speakeasy bar at the back of the ground floor. I was told that after late hours, you can walk from the back alley way to enter and exit.
On the second floor, you walk around a bird cage decor, there is a private dining area with a private bar station. The best yet? There are 5 karaoke rooms that is designed differently. imagine singing your lungs out with your friends or colleagues. The room sits more than 10 people comfortably. Let’s be honest, you don’t find Karaoke rooms in the downtown core often. So, great food, cocktails and entertainment, DASHA has to be the hottest spot in the 6ix.
