Air Canada 787 Dreamliner – Exclusive VIP Tour

During the unveil of the Air Canada all-new Signature Suite Launch event, I was being asked by the Air Canada executive if I would like to check out one of its many new Air Canada 787 Dreamliners, without hesitation, I said “Yes!”.

In case you haven’t heard, Air Canada has been purchasing a number of all-new Boeing 787 Dreamliners and have already integrated these nice machines into serving its customers. Air Canada is committed to continue to provide its customers with new flying experience, in this case, the state-of-the-art Boeing 787.

On past trips I was flying on Boeing 737 and 747 planes before, but I have never fly on a 787 Dreamliner. Although, I am just taking a tour, but I hope some day I will get to fly on one of these amazing planes.

MoVernie Fun Fact: Did you know that there are crew bed space for crews to take turns to rest and recharge during a long flight? This is to ensure the crew are giving enough time to recoup and to be able to perform and serve their customers in their top form. Pilots also have their own bunk space as well. I never knew that and it was cool to check out the space.

As we boarded on the 787 Dreamliner, we met two friendly Air Canada stewards, they told us that this plane is all prepared and ready to serve customers who are flying from Toronto to Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom, one of Air Canada international direct flights.

John, an Air Canada Executive, who was part of the team who helped design the business class compartment, gave us a tour of the plane. From the first glance, the business class is roomy. Each individual has his/her own cubicle space. Everything in the space can be controlled by a flat-screen control panel that you can cater to your preference and comfort. If you want to watch TV, it has a nice screen for you. If you want to sleep, with a few touches on the control panel, the chair can fall flat and turn into a full-size bed.

We also toured the “Premium Economy” section which is basically the former “Business Class”. To be honest, the Premium Economy section is spacious enough, each one has its own flat screens. It’s luxurious for me already. Air Canada is basically providing different sections and offerings that fits each individual needs.

I was also told that the business class customers get to try Chef David Hawksworth’s food items on board. And there are special heat ovens to bring out the best taste from Chef Hawksworth’s creations. Some of the signature cocktails that are available at the Signature Suite are also available on the flight. How convenient?

Air Canada continues to offer a growing list of select flights and routes that are served by the fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Check out this site often as Air Canada will continue to announce additional routes for its 787 fleet.

Let’s take the tour together and enjoy the experience! Check out my photos shown below. It was very cool for me to check out the 787 Dreamliner cockpit. So many buttons and gears, it’s fascinating!

This 787 Air Canada Dreamliner private tour was provided by Air Canada. As always, the opinions expressed in this post is entirely my own.
