Finding Hidden Gems in Japan – Coffee Shop Inside Kuromon Fish Market [OSAKA TRAVEL SERIES]

In Japan, I like to explore and find unique places that are away from the busy tourist attractions or hidden places even locals don’t even know.

Overall, it’s safe to wander around back alleys or stores located above the ground floors (still need your own street smarts and explore at your own discretion).

This little coffee shop is tucked away inside the famous Kuromon Fish Market, as most tourists crowding the fatty tuna stalls or indulging grilled seafood, there is a quiet alley with no English sign, I walked in and there was this coffee shop.

The owner is a 1-man show pouring coffee. There were antiques, crafts and souvenirs for sale.

I really like the mini solarium located at the back of the shop. There was an old classic desk and lamps dating back in time. So nice to relax, chill, just staying away from the crowd for just a sec.
