At the Gate:
Since this was Porter’s inaugural flight, there was a special celebration at the gate. They had a backdrop for photo opportunities. Michael Deluce, President & CEO of Porter Airlines was present. He took photos with many passengers who recognized him plus Michael was on board of this inaugural flight with us to Vancouver.
At the Gate Event, passengers chose a key to try their luck to win a free pair of Porter flight tix of a destination of their choice. I tried my luck but I didn’t win. Eventually, a lucky winner won the flight tix. Congrats!
Every passenger got a $150 travel voucher upon boarding and it’s good for a year until March 1, 2024, which is awesome as I can book another flight with Porter before it expires by then.
Complimentary hot beverages and snacks were also provided. What an amazing way to start the inaugural flight from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Vancouver Airport (YVR).
