Extra! Extra! Sharks Discovered In Toronto

In the Toronto’s Ripley’s Aquarium of course!

Bahaha

It was a Turtle surfing Sting-Ray gliding, standing on the conveyor belt and riding along the Shark tank filled awesome day!

The whole trip along the aquarium took a good one-and-half hour.

And knowing the team we just had to do a second round!

The tour starts at the Candian Waters near the entrance. You see life sized crabs, lobsters and octopus. If you’re there you’ve got to check out the lobsters. These aren’t your everyday mini-me lobsters that you put on your plate…

These are asteroid sized lobsters…

You read correct…

Asteroid sized…

The shark tank was by far the most fun ride for me.

You stand on a conveyor belt riding through the tunnel and you’re completely surrounded by this tank. It’s a full 360* view and quite often you’ll see one, two and even three different sharks swim by right next to you.

Did you know: Sharks have over 2,000 razor sharp teeth?

And it’s not just sharks, you’ll see schools of exotic fish swim by. The environment is made to look just like the tropical waters with coral reef and the sunshine beaming into the water.

Pretty cool actually.

Ehem…here’s an inside reference. You’ve watched DragonBallZ right? You know that giant fish Goku always catches when he’s swimming outside his house? They have those too!! And it’s at the end of the Shark tunnel you can’t miss it.

It was just staring out into the crowd. If I stood beside the fish it would be the height of my neck.

They have Seahorses, Sea Dragons, The Four-eyed Fish, Stingrays, Horseshoe Crabs and much more…

Make sure to walk by the touch tanks near the gift shop. You can actually touch the stingrays as they swim by, but there are small hammerhead sharks in that tank – don’t touch the sharks.

You’ll get a workout by the time you’re done seeing all the different sea life in the aquarium. This is a good place to spend the day with your family or friends.

By the way if you’re a Ryerson student, Ripley’s Aquarium is very close to you so if you have nothing to do during your long breaks in between classes you should check it out.

And if you’re a Ryerson student with a girlfriend or a boyfriend and you’ve got nothing to do during your long break in between classes, this would be a perfect place to go on a date.

Just saying…
