This week, the MoVernie Team picked up the media fleet of the all-new 2023 Acura Integra for test drive for a few days.
For those who grew up knowing or owning an Acura Integra, you know how iconic this nameplate “Integra” is to the Acura brand. Back then, Integra had so many unique styling cues that wow the car world. For me, the iconic 4 circle headlights Integra was my most memorable look of Integra.
So…when a few years ago, Acura decided to bring back the “Integra” name, peeps were super happy. People were wondering how much the heritage Integra DNA would be implemented to the all-new 2023 model. Moreover, as we all know, the Acura lineup has been using lettering to call their vehicles such as TLX, RDX, MDX, NSX and they no longer using Integra or Legend for a long time. So, bringing the name “Integra” was a bit of a surprisingly news.
Anyhow, when the production Integra rolled off the manufacturing assembly line, many weren’t a fan of the way it looks coz it has no resemblance of the past iconic Integra models at all. So, many people were disappointed and don’t understand why Acura brought back a name that has a product that doesn’t look anything Integra.
Anyhow, that’s for another day to debate of its look. For now, from first glance, I really dig the black-on-black exterior. Even the logo from the front an the back are not chrome but darken out, other than the hint of red on the A-SPEC label and the red taillight, the entire Integra has a black-on-black feel to it.
Interior comes with the black dashboard, with some hint of chrome/greyish components on the ventilation vents and side panels. Otherwise, the rest of the interior is surrounded by red leatherette materials. It looks super sharp with the black outside and red inside.
And you can’t go wrong with the 6-speed manual gearbox. Thank you Acura and Honda for #SavingTheManuals. Nowadays, it’s so hard to get cars that offers manual gearbox as an option.

Special thanks to Acura Canada for the test drive.
