Gyeongbokgung Palace [SOUTH KOREA TRAVEL SERIES]

0

One of the first sightseeing places that we visited in South Korea was “Gyeongbokgung Palace”.

It’s a former royal palace that was built in 1395.

The whole complex is very well-maintained. Great to walk around to travel back in time to admire the historical buildings.

MoVernie TIP: The area at the front of the entrance is FREE. But if you want to roam more parts of the palace, you pay a small fee to get in with tix. However, anyone who wears the traditional Hanbok gets in FREE.

We lucked out and witnessed the traditional Korean ceremony. There was drums pounding ceremony and people marching.

NOTE: Based on the official website, it says the palace is closed on every Tuesday. Be sure to check their schedule before you visit to avoid any disappointment.
