Holiday Hills at Stackt Market (November 17 – December 31, 2023) – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I just landed back to Toronto from my Dominican Republic Press Trip with Arajet Airlines, and the temperature went from 32C in DR to around 5C in Toronto. LOL. No worries though, I luv my city and I am “Home Sweet Home”.

Just as I decided to go to a nearby grocery store to get some coffee beans and paper towel, I didn’t see what I like at Farm Boy, and as I stared across the Stackt Market, I noticed a giant inflated Vodkow. I luv vodkow and it’s a creamy liqueur produced in Almonte, Ontario, Canada. I decided to walk across just to check it out. I realized, Vodkow has launched a new flavour called “Chocolate Orange”, so I decided to walk into this store where Vodkow has a popup for some free sample.

I chatted with the Vodkow staff and I told him how much I luv Vodkow and in particular, I had the eggnog flavour and Maple Cream flavour at home. But I have never tried the London Fog and Chocolate Orange flavours. So, he handed me a small cup to try both flavours. I tried the London Fog flavour first and it was subtle at first and then there was a smooth finish with London Fog flavour, that was great! Then, I tried the Chocolate Orange flavour and it has a stronger taste on the chocolate and orange which is nicely done. I enjoyed both. The staff told me that they are only here at Stackt for this weekend, however, follow their IG account on their next locations for Vodkow PopUp, which I believe he mentioned Sherway Gardens and Eaton Centre over the holiday season.

Anyhow, back to my adventures. I didn’t have any game plan or objectives today, I simply decided to go for a nice walk on a nice sunny day out, wanted to grab some coffee beans and paper towel, ended up seeing the Vodkow giant inflatable and went for some free samples. After that, I saw the sign outside the entrance “Holiday Vibes Here”. I was like “why not? just take a short walk”.

MoVernie FUN FACT: Did you know….Stackt Market is North America’s largest shipping container market?

It turned out from November 17 to December 31, the entire Stackt Market turns into a festive Holiday Hills popup. They were playing holiday songs such as Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and others.

Let’s follow along as I give you a glimpse of what’s happening at the Holiday Hills located at Stackt Market.

First thing I noticed was how organized and well-thought out the layout from the organizer. Although it’s not super cold today, but they have lots of indoor stations where you can go and check out some individual vendors selling arts, crafts and other cool stuff. That will keep you warm. Another spot is the Blue Moon Brewery, it’s super cozy in there and I noticed kids were playing with some toys and crafts for them to do, meanwhile, the parents were enjoying some fresh beer from Blue Moon Brewery. Washroom facilities are also here.

And throughout the entire Stackt, you can see bon fire and heaters everywhere for people to sit and stay warm. That’s a nice touch!

At the beginning of the entrance, there was a sign with map layout of all the things you can see, I opted to just go with the flow and not look at the map and just roam around and explore, but that’s just me!

I noticed a reindeer display that is perfect for your loved ones, kids, pets to take a photogenic holiday photo!

Then, I saw a nice Christmas tree with all the bling bling decorations on it. I am sure it will look even more LIT at night.

Tunnels of Light is where you walk thru from one side of the Stackt to the back of the Stackt. I am sure at night, this tunnel will be even more photogenic.

At the back, there is this bar inside the Mongolian tent.

Some workers were still working on the last minute touches in assembling some wooden vendors stations and the curling setup.

I saw a short lineup of people at the Milk tent and I noticed many peeps were wearing the pink toque. That got my attention. Apparently, if you follow @MilkUpOntario on IG, show it to them, they will give you a FREE toque (blue or pink, you can choose) and a FREE hot beverage with milk in it. That’s nice!

As I walked into the Blue Moon Brewery, I saw kids playing and adults enjoying beer from Blue Moon Brewery. It’s nice and cozy inside, perfect to warm yourself up. There was holiday stage setup, my guess is there will be live concert music during this holiday so be sure to check out its upcoming schedule.

On the other side of Stackt, I noticed at least 6-7 bon fire stations where you can chill with your friends and warm yourself up. I noticed peeps were lining up to play some game.

And I noticed this sculpture, so I decided to take a selfie.

If you are looking for things to do in Downtown Toronto over this holiday season, be sure to check out Stackt Market, it’s FREE admission to roam around, you can buy beer, beverage or shop local.

Holiday Hills runs from November 17, 2023 to December 31, 2023!
