Our family has been going to Keung’s Restaurant 新旺角强記雞粥 (Kennedy Location) for many years now and what we luv about this restaurant is the consistency of all the food items here and the friendly staff customer service.
You can order congee, soup noodles, dinner combo, fried rice, noodles, however you like. Portion of the food are generous and every dish is tasty and delish.
Salt & pepper pork was juicy and tender. It’s not super spicy but it offered a little bit of heat to it. Perfect to eat with a bowl of steam rice.
Another dish that we most often ordered is the salty egg fried scallops, shrimps and king mushrooms. It’s nicely battered with salt egg yolk and it’s pipping hot out of the fryer, it’s tasty. It’s also interesting that you may not able to tell which item you picked up, it could be shrimp or scallop, you can’t really tell until you take a bite out of it. It’s fun!
Moreover, every time you ordered the food, it’s consistently good. And the prices are very fair and reasonable.
We often ordered the big bowl of seafood congee. The half free range chicken. Moreover, we like the seafood tofu hotpot that is sizzling when presented to your table. Yang fried rice is supreme here as well.
If you order dinner dishes, they most often offer you with complimentary old fire Chinese soup and Chinese dessert.
It’s crazy to learn that the dessert they offer here are even better than many dessert place that specialize Chinese dessert.
