On our way to check out the famous Kuromon Fish Market in Osaka, Japan, we had to pass through an outdoor mall and along the mall, there were vendors. But out of all the vendors, this place called “Lapoppo Farm” caught my attention. It sells fries to pastries to tart and it seems like they are selling anything using ingredients from local farms. They are promoting “Farm to Table” type of deal.
I decided to buy an order of fries to try it out. The friendly server asked me what type of fries I would like to order. At a glance, it looks like there was the regular potato fries, sweet potato fries, and sweet yam fries. I chose the yam fries as it’s not readily available at any fries outlet in North America (at least I have never seen any). The yam fries were placed in a very delicate and nicely angular cone.
Along with the fries, I could choose a Japanese dipping sauce. There were Wasabi Mayonnaise; Cherry Blossom Salt, Mustard Honey; Matcha Cream and so many sauce to choose from. I chose the mustard honey.
The fries isn’t cheap like other regular fast food chains but consider the fact that Lapoppo Farm uses fresh ingredients, the price was justified especially the fries were tasty and fresh and crispy and the unique choice of dipping sauce was incredible.
I highly recommend you to try Lapoppo Farm, the pastries or especially the fries. It’s worth it!
