Our long time neighbour invited us to have dinner with them at Lobster Port 龍港 to celebrate the holiday season. It’s been a long time seeing them. This is our family’s 1st time dining at Lobster Port, which is located in Richmond Hill.
NOTE: They recently moved the restaurant to a new place, which is a block from its old location. So, make sure you are going to the right location (scroll down below to view the new location INFO).
There are ample of free parking space at the Lobster Port. A beautiful building and a nice entrance to walk into the restaurant. The place is elegant and modern and you are greeted by friendly staff and there are fish tanks near the entrance. All the tables are physical distancing from other tables which is thoughtfully layout.
We got a big table that sits comfortably with 9 people. Our neighbour ordered a combo that feeds up to 10 people so there are plenty of food to eat. We have to say, the seafood is not the forte of this place. Fishman Lobster Clubhouse (魚樂軒) is the undisputed champion in terms of fresh, tasty seafood feast. Nevertheless, the Chinese dishes here at Lobster Port is the spotlight, every dish is delicious, good portion and it was yummy.
In particular, I really enjoyed the wholesome crispy chicken (wind sand chicken), it’s super tasty and crispy. I also enjoyed the stir fry garlic green beans with pork jowl. Another dish I really like is the steam fish, flake by flake off the fish bone, so good! The Chinese boiled herbal soup was amazing, so good that everyone had a few rounds of the soup, it’s tasty and generously good amount of soup.
Overall, we really enjoyed our dining experience at Lobster Port. Excellent service and the Chinese dishes were delicious and good value proportions. Highly recommended if you are looking for some tasty Chinese food at a fine dining Chinese restaurants.
