During IPW, I was invited by Houston First Tourism for a private dinner. And I was delighted to realize the restaurant they had chosen is a Michelin Guide restaurant called “Rossoblu”, located in Los Angeles, California, USA.
As you walked inside, it has a high ceiling with a bar area, and a dining area, also with an outdoor patio dining area. I was attracted to a big mural artwork on one of the walls.
And the open kitchen, you can spot the chefs were busy prepping and cooking over a wooden charcoal fire pit.
They are famous for many dishes, in particular, the handmade pasta. Oh mine! The homemade pasta was super amazing, especially a dish with truffle oil and the pasta was so smooth that it reminds me of my beloved Chinese hand pulled thick noodles or ho-fun. It was unforgettable.
The cocktails were amazing and tasty as well.
Houston First ordered a bunch of food to share so we can all try different dishes. They are all so good. The fried calamari was amazing with nicely battered calamari being fried goldenly.
Now I know why this place made it to the Michelin Guide. This is a local favourite restaurant as well. As you know, if the locals come here, you know you are at the right spot.
