Milwaukee Bucks Fired Head Coach Adrian Griffin

This afternoon, my followers reached out and told me that Milwaukee Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin was fired. It was a bit of a shocker as I didn’t see this coming since the Bucks are having a great record with 30-13, good for sitting 2nd in the Eastern Conference standing.

The breaking news was first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski who dropped the “Woj Bomb”.

Although I didn’t see this coming, I could also not surprised that the Bucks are firing the rookie coach. The team, despite a great record in the standing are having lots of team chemistry issue as evident on the court. They also don’t play enough defense to go far into the playoffs. With 40 games already being played, there is no sign of any types of improvements. I guess the Bucks don’t want to waste any more time and decided to hire a new coach to right the ship.

This firing is unusual as Adrian Griffin becomes one of the coaches being axed after just 40 games, which is quite short lived.

At the end of the day, someone got to be the scape goat and Griffin took the hit. In my opinion, this is ALL on the Bucks organization. If they didn’t want to hire a rookie coach, then don’t take a chance on Griffin. Once you are committed, then you have to let him work. The Bucks clearly showed a lack of direction or vision in their coach hiring.

Anyhow, just wanted to throw my 2-cent in this situation.

MoVernie QUESTION: What are your thoughts? Who do you think the Bucks to hire to replace Adrian Griffin as the new head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks?
