This past December, a few weeks before Christmas Day, I received a special email. It was an exclusive invitation by Ford Canada to fly me down to Detroit from Toronto in early January 2015 to attend the 2015 Ford North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) Digital Summit. Quite honestly, I had to read the email a few times to ensure that I wasn’t dreaming and that it is a reality. I pinched myself a few times and although the pinch was painful, I was super happy.

Furthermore, when I was informed that I am 1 of 21 lucky Canadian Bloggers to be selected and invited to attend this special event, I was proud of myself and was a great honour to be part of this special event.

This will be my first time attending such event where I am going to meet people from Canada, United States and from all parts of the world. As we all know, we are living in the digital world where we don’t get to meet people face-to-face as often as we like. We use Skype, Snapchat, GoToMeeting, all other applications that reduce our travel time to see people in real time and in person. This event is definitely a great chance for me to meet new people in person.

I don’t know what to expect from this event as this is going to be my very first time attending such event. However, I do know, I am expecting to meet Ford Executives from all parts of the departments. I will get to learn the latest technologies, engineering and product designs and all other auto trends that is expected in 2015. I would hope that we get to see some of the latest cars and trucks behind-the-scene at this event.

I will be flying to Detroit this Sunday on January 11 and will be there until Tuesday January 13. During this whole time, I will be providing my followers and audiences lots of latest news and the happenings at this Ford NAIAS Digital Summit.

Follow me on Twitter @MoVernie or on Instagram @RealMoVernie for the latest Ford Product News. I will be reporting “LIVE” at the Blue Oval in Detroit. By the way, whoever named the special area “Blue Oval” is a very bright person.

In addition of following me on Twitter and Instagram, you can also follow this hashtag #FordNAIAS, peeps who are attending this special event will all be using this special designated hashtags, so feel free to follow them as well.

I would like to thank Ford Canada for providing me with the best and biggest Holiday Gift ever!
