Celebrating my birthday with my family and friends at Jumbo Lobster Restaurant 大龍蝦. In case you didn’t know, Jumbo Lobster is a sister restaurant from Fishman Lobster Clubhouse located in Scarborough. Due to Fishman renovation, we decided to dine here at Jumbo Lobster.
What’s interesting about Fishman and Jumbo Lobster are that…they constantly move places as they are expanding and growing in short amount of time to accommodate the high demand of patronage from the customers. If you may recall, Jumbo Lobster was originally located at the Woodbine Avenue, just not long ago and they moved to this new 9019 Leslie St, Richmond Hill location. Now, Lobster Port took over its former old Woodbine Avenue location.
Fishman Lobster Clubhouse at the Scarborough location was been still relatively new but they have decided to go under some new renovations. When their businesses are doing well, they just keep on spending more $ to make it more grand and that would translate into higher combo prices and charging more, but you get what you pay for its extravagant interior design.
There are a variety of seafood combo available here at the Jumbo Lobster. I think I notice the main difference from previous Jumbo Lobster and Fishman Lobster Clubhouse is the offering of dry aged steak, which was never an option before. You could see all the dry aged steak fridge around the entire restaurant. This place is gigantic.
You can also see rows and rows of bottles of wine. And furthermore, the usual rows and rows of aquarium of king crabs and lobsters on display.
This was what we ordered for my birthday seafood feast for a group of 6 people. Lots of food, lots of laughter and happiness. Precious times and memories.

Traditional Chinese Boil Soup
Suckling pig (half a pig) – super crispy skin with juicy and tender meat.
Baked lobster with supreme soup – this was an unexpected delight as we never order this cooking style before. Don’t let the word “soup” fools you, there are no soup/broth, it won’t make the lobster soggy which I am super glad. The lobster has good juicy meat and it’s nicely done.

Sweet & Sour Pork
Steam sea bass (wholesome fish)
Snow peas with king mushrooms
Apparently, they also offer dim sum and lunch dishes, so I would luv to check it out during lunch time next time.
