Today (June 28, 2025), I decided to take a drive to scout the area around the new Rogers Stadium, which is one day before the official opening of the 1st concert, hosted by Stray Kids, a boy band from South Korea. Reason I wanted to scout around this place was that this Rogers Stadium will become one of the venue spaces hosting future concerts, especially it holds 50,000 people. Besides, this venue space is not located in Downtown Toronto but on the Northwest end of Toronto.
MoVernie TIP: Please google the map before you arrive at this Rogers Stadium. Remember, this is not Rogers Arena (totally different venue spaces and locations).
I am afraid to say that I drove around a number of times, it’s hard to find the entrance of this Rogers Stadium. It’s in the middle of nowhere, there isn’t any public parking nearby. You may want to park at the Hanover Hanger but that’s for peeps who plays volleyball, soccer and other recreational activities.
Now I understood why Mayor Chow and the city wants to offer free TTC & GO Train services for concertgoers after each concert for the entire summer coz there isn’t any parking spaces around, which would be chaotic as I am afraid I don’t think the below average TTC buses would be able to absorb 50,000 people at the same time after the concert. I can guarantee you now that it’s going to be a shit show!
There is only a short drop off area where you can pickup and drop off people but with one narrow lane each way, again, it’s not looking good.
On a good note, if the weather is sunny and breezy, it’s definitely will be a cool spot to enjoy an outdoor concert. And there is a Ferris Wheel, which is quite cool. Imagine you are on the it while the concert is performing, which would be quite an experience.
If weather is bad, even worse, it’s going to be wet and soggy with not much shelter, since there is no roof for this concert venue space.
Another concerns I have is….is there enough portable washrooms for 50,000 concertgoers?
Let’s hope the management can find resolution as the concerts start to be played but as of now, give yourself plenty of time to get to and out of the concerts. You may want to park further in one of the residential area that is free parking and you walk to the venue, you maybe better off that way.
