The Santa Justa Lift, also called Carmo Lift, is an elevator, or lift, located in the historical city of Lisbon, Portugal.
The Santa Justa Life is one of Lisbon’s most unique tourist attractions, and from the top viewing platform there are great views overlooking the central Lisbon. It stands 43 feet and was designed by Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard. Raoul is the student of Stephen Sauvestre, who designed the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.
You won’t miss this structure as it’s located right at central city of Lisbon. The structure consists of iron, wood, glass and cement. It was initiated in 1900 and completed on 1902.
