(SOFT OPENING) Linh Anh Vietnamese Cuisine – Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada

This may sounds weird, but have you ever had back-to-back Vietnamese food before? Yesterday, after enjoying our lunch at the new Linh Anh Unionville location, we decided to check out the new Richmond Hill Linh Anh location. That’s right, in the span of short few months, Linh Anh opened up the Unionville and Richmond Hill locations.

I only know about the new Richmond Hill location after the staff informed me that the Richmond Hill location only opened 2 weeks ago and if paid by cash there, I will get 10% off from the Richmond Hill. After craving Vietnamese food for so long (after my vacation from Japan and Korea), I really don’t mind dining back-to-back Vietnamese food.

Currently, Linh Anh Richmond Hill is doing soft opening. It’s located at the Times Square Plaza (formerly was a Waygu Hot Pot spot that was located at a corner of the parking spot).

Moment I walked in, I seen a similarity of the interior design and theme from the Scarborough and Unionville locations. This place is spacious as well with many tables and sections to serve its patrons. However, this spot has more of a “L-Shaped” layout various one giant rectangular layout.

The focal point of this place for me is the central “Bonsai” plant section where you can comfortably dined solo or with 2 people. It feels like a central dining area for small groups (which I have seen many times in various Japanese food hall or eatery stations).

I also don’t recall the Unionville location has any private VIP rooms. But at this Richmond Hill location, at the very least, I spotted 2 VIP rooms for large groups of patrons.

Overall, the food and beverage offerings are pretty much similar to the Scarborough and Unionville locations. Since I ordered the House Special beef pho the day prior, I wanted to try the Bone Marrow with House Special beef pho this time, it’s $20.95 CDN + tax that came with 2 bone marrows.

Personally, I am not really a fan of having bone marrows in the broth as I strongly feel the broth itself is already flavourful enough and it’s a waste to have the bone marrow into the broth. Nevertheless, I just wanted to order it to give it a try and to order something slightly different from what I ordered from yesterday. Ideally, I would luv to have some toasty bread to put the bone marrow with it.

My buddy ordered the House Special beef pho.

We also ordered the fried shirmp/pork spring rolls. OMG! Freshly fried, with nice hot temperature and it’s so good. I have to say….it’s a bit odd that they served 3 pieces vs 2 pieces as I prefer to have a snack bites but if I am dining solo or with someone, 3 pieces become too many and at $13.95 CDN, it isn’t cheap either. Anyhow, it’s crispy and tasty. Highly recommend it.

Overall, Vietnamese restaurants are poppin everywhere in the Greater Toronto Area and they are all doing super well and flourishing. It feels like you can find a resto every corner where you live. LOL

Personally, I still think the Unionville location is more grand and with a “House Feel” flare with the old classic vinyl record player, old TV, and decor that resembles someone’s old Vietnamese home with lots of ceramic vases and decor. So, I prefer the Unionville location more.

Anyhow, I could vision Linh Anh will continue to open more locations as they are really good at what they are doing serving authentic delicious food and beverages.

Highly recommend you to try Linh Anh at any of its locations.
