From the Basketball Jones to The Starter to No Dunks and now Leigh Ellis has decided to venture into a new Global Initiative with his 20 pickup basketball games, 20 Countries in 20 Cities, and he made a stop in Toronto, a city that he once lived.

When he DM’ed me to see if I am in town and if yes, come and catch up, I did just that and showed up to see Leigh.

I don’t know how and why he and his crew luv my social media so much but I appreciate their support of MoVernie on the MOVE and I value our friendship.

From his Instagram post, there was a huge turnout of people who showed up to play some pickup games with Leigh as well as just showing up to chat and catching up. This was a successful Toronto stop appearance.

Best of luck to @leighellis on his journey, goals and dreams with this new initiative.

Keep travelling! Keep inspiring!

If you are a basketball fan and would luv Leigh to play pickup games in your city, follow him @leighellis and see how you can organize/sponsor his appearance. Currently, Leigh is paying most of his expenses out of his own pocket with some assistance here and there, but his ideal goal is to have brands and businesses to reach out and sponsor his trips so that it makes this global initiative an effective and sustainable for years to come for him to meet more people in many different destinations.

Throwback when I saw Leigh Ellis at the 2019 NBA Finals Title Run in Oakland Oracle Arena witnessing the Toronto Raptors beating the Golden State Warriors in game #5, takin’ the 3-1 lead. A memory of a lifetime.
