Masai Ujiri
As first reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania and also confirmed by Sportsnet Michael Grange that the Toronto Raptors have parted ways with long time executive Masai Ujiri.
This comes after the 2025 NBA Draft that happened just a 2 days ago, as I feel the organization all knew Masai is leaving but keeping it underwrap until the draft is over, just to avoid any unnecessary distractions or uncertainty to the team until they have drafted Collin Murray-Boyle with the #9th pick.
This departure of Masai may be a big surprise to many Raptors fans, but this ISN’T a surprise to me as a number of people who works for MLSE has told me numerous times that this bound to happen as it’s been brewing for a few years now that Masai wanted to move on but just wanted to make sure his counterparts such as Bobby Webster has settled in, hold the power and ensure everyone gets paid before he leaves.
