When I was young, I already love cars! I have all the car toys. When I was old enough to drive, I love driving! Now, my dream came true being invited to all these exclusive events, test driving all these amazing machines!
BMW Canada has exclusively invited a small group of people to test drive their brand new 2014 4-Series Coupe and 2014 X5 SUV.
We got greeted with coffee, beverages and cookies, then got into a presentation about their “Drive For Team Canada” program that supports the Canadian Olympians and funding to develop more great athletes and facility venues for their practices.
We then got into a presentation about the new features, specs of the brand new BMW 4-Series & X5.
Then off to the track course. The track course was set up around the parking lot at the Ontario Place. Small blue pylons craved out the track route and red bigger pylons signify the braking areas.
Then we are on to test out the brand new 2014 4-Series Coupe. Basically, it is the new nomenclature that BMW is now implementing for all coupe. 4-Series is basically the old 3-Series Coupe. But BMW want all coupe to have an “Even” nomenclature, hence, 2-Series, 4-Series, 6-Series & 8-Series. BMW believes the coupe should have it’s stand alone naming convention.
428i (fog lamps in front bumper) & 435i (NO fog lamps in front bumper). The coupe is beautiful along with amazing colour interior combination. Gone were the stupid cupholders that BMW designers had placed them in awkward position in the past (thank god!)
We drove the 4-Series through tougher, tighter slalom, accelerating through the curves and stopping in short distance.
After the test drive, we got greeted by some of the Olympians who were on hand to meet & greet with the attendees. Stephanie Richardson (Swimmer) & Alexandra Orlando (Gymnast). We also got to sign our autographs on a big wall that will be presented to the Canadian Olympians, wishing them best of luck for 2014 Sochi Olympics!
We also got a little gift for the BMW Test Drive!
All-in-all, it was a fun afternoon! I look forward to testing out the brand new BMW 2-Series in the future!
