Land Rover Canada and Jaguar Canada hosted an Exclusive VIP closed track course event a few weeks ago in Toronto, Ontario. They utilized a parking lot beside the Ontario Place as a closed track course. A number of Exclusive attendees including MoKenny & I were on hand to test out these amazing machines built by Jaguar and Land Rover.
A number of Land Rover vehicles were on display outside the closed track course, so we were allowed to walk around each vehicle, checked out the exterior and opened the doors and checked inside. One particular interesting vehicle was on display. It was , but without a roof. Most Land Rover fans know Evoque is a compact sporty SUV, either comes with 2 doors or 4 doors. But no roof and turned into a convertible? Now that’s really thinking out-of-the-box. There aren’t many manufacturers out there who would build a SUV convertible due to low demand. But building something like this is not really about volume sales, it’s basically setting a tone to inform the customers and other companies that Land Rover think out-of-the-box and they aren’t afraid to create something unique.
As I was checking out the Land Rover Canada’s website, this is what the Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, Gerry McGovern has to say about this Evoque Convertible.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is a convertible for all seasons. It is a unique combination of design leadership and world-class engineering that adds another dimension to the Range Rover Evoque name, further enhancing its desirability and appeal.
