Every year, as per usual, one of the highlights and one of the most anticipated announcement at the Canadian International Auto Show (CAIAS2018) Media Day is the announcement of the winners for the “Car of the Year” and “Sports Utility Vehicle of the Year” as voted by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).
This year’s CAIAS “SUV of the Year” winner is…..Chrysler Pacifica! Congratulations to Chrysler Canada for winning this award. Although Pacifica is a minivan, it is categorized as part of the SUV categories. As we all know, Chrysler is always ahead of the game with the minivan design, starting way back from the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager. Although the minivan segment is shrinking, there is still a need for the minivans and space.
One of my loyal followers, Tom (@nxtom), asked me to take photos of the minivans at the show coz he is looking for a minivan that can carry loads of items and have all the cool features for a reasonable price. So, perhaps he should consider the Chrysler Pacifica.
MoVernie Fun Fact: Did you know….that the Chrysler Pacifica is built in Windsor, Canada? This Utility Vehicle of the Year gives our Canadian workers something to smile about. They should be proud. If you support local, shop local and want to drive local? The Chrysler Pacifica should be high on your check list when shopping for a vehicle.
