2019 Porsche Macan - Downtown Porsche Launch Party at Rebel Nightclub

To the Porsche lovers or Porsche owners, the all-new 2019 Porsche Macan is here in Toronto for a launch party event that was held at the Rebel Nightclub.

MoKenny and I got invited to this event courtesy by Downtown Porsche dealership. I think having a launch party at the Rebel Nightclub is a good venue as it is spacious, the centre of attention will be on the 2019 Porsche Macan and allowing guests to network, roam around and get some food and drinks.

The moment we entered the venue, we were greeted by the friendly staff and checked us in. Then we got to enjoy some hors d’oeuvres and drinks. We bumped into many familiar faces so it was also a good catching up with everyone about their lives. The food options were great, from sliders to grilled shrimp skewers to my favourite of the night, the lamb chops. The only thing I wish it could have done better was if the catering could heat up the food a little bit better, the food were mostly leaning towards on the cooler side. However, as I attended so many of these events before, sometimes, the temperature of the food really depends on the logistics of the distance the food is being carried out to the guests and the equipment on the premises. Otherwise, the food were flavourful.

After 2 hours, the executive from Downtown Porsche made an opening speech and introduced some of the executives at the dealership. After the remarks, it’s time to unveil the 2019 Porsche Macan. To my surprise, the show car isn’t the typical white, or black or blue but a bright lime green colour. Personally, as a show car, the lime green body paint was perfect. But as an everyday driving vehicle, I don’t think I would choose such colour since after a while, the colour just gets old.

Overall, although the Macan is all-new but I found the overall exterior design isn’t that much differ from the outgoing model. The new model is still beautiful. I like the front exterior fascia and the interior is nice. The major difference in my opinion is the tail lights. The tail lights are now connected from the left side to the right side with a centre light connected in the centre. It is carrying the same theme as the Porsche 911 or the Porsche Cayenne. Personally, I am not a big fan of the new Macan taillights. In fact, I think the old Macan looks better from the front to the back. However, everyone has different preferences and different opinions as there are always people who loves or not like it.
