2020 AJAC Award Winners: Mazda3 and Jaguar I-PACE – Canadian International Auto Show (#CIAS2020)

The 2020 Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has announced its winners for the “Car of the Year” + “Utility Vehicle of the Year”.

And the winners are……

2020 Car of the Year – Mazda3

2020 Utility Vehicle of the Year – Jaguar I-PACE

Congrats to both car companies for winning their respective awards. In fact, Jaguar I-PACE was the winner last year  (2019) for winning the Utility Vehicle of the Year, so they won back-to-back, that’s impressive!

I do, however, have to say that I have not yet seen the Jaguar I-PACE on the road yet and I would luv to test drive this vehicle to see how good it is. As back-to-back winners, it must be a great vehicle!

I did test drove the Mazda3 last year in Los Angeles, California to help us commute to the IPW19 Travel Conference as well as visiting the downtown city core. Additionally, we test drove the Mazda3 Sedan and Hatchback styles in Toronto, Canada. We loved it!

The 2020 Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) is open to the public starting tomorrow, February 14th. Perhaps a perfect date to celebrate Valentines Day or just checking all the vehicles before the massive crowd coming in during this upcoming Family Day long weekend! And make sure you pickup a FREE copy of this Auto Show Official Program.

From the AJAC website, it states, “The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) is an association of professional journalists, writers, photographers and corporate entities whose focus is the automobile and the automotive industry. The majority of our journalist members test drive and report on new vehicles on an ongoing basis in various forms of media across the country.” So, it is a well-respected and legitimate award.
