Air Canada Top 10 Best New Restaurants Gala has always been one of our favourite annual events to attend coz it has a nice venue space, amazing food & drinks. We also enjoy its cool concept of announcing the winner for Canada’s Best New Restaurants. But during the pandemic, it got cancelled. Luckilyi for 2022, we are super happy that this special event is back!
30 New Restaurants were nominated and tonight, the top 10 Canada’s Best New Restaurants were on hand to showcase their culinary skills by serving the guests with their own hors d’oeurvres.
It’s so nice to know there are so many awesome new restaurants located at all parts of Canada.
My bro, aka MoKenny was my plus 1 and let us show you around what Air Canada Top 10 event is all about.
For many years now, #AirCanadaTop10 was held at Ricarda’s at 134 Peter Street. This year is no different, same venue space and it’s a good choice as it has a nice restaurant with a nice indoor atrium that has high ceilings and lots of open space.
As we entered the building, we were greeted by the friendly and lovely Air Canada staff who checked us in.
If you need to drop off your clothes and other belongings, there was a coat check station. But since the weather was relatively warm for an early November, we don’t have to check in anything.
Near the entrance, the first thing we saw were the posters about showcasing the past World Class Canada winners. These are awarding bartending winners which includes Kaitlyn Stewart, James Grant and Massimo Zitti. They were on hand and each curated a specialty cocktail and serving to the guests to enjoy.
If you are not a cocktail drinker, no worries, there were 2 other bar stations serving wine, beer, gin & tonic, Don Julio and other well-known spirits.
If you just want to drink water, there was an Evian water booth serving you water.
The #AirCanadaTop10 best new restaurants each had their own kiosk station that were nicely layout with each serving up a specific hors d’oeuvres item for the guests to try.
You know it’s a damn good party when StartingFromScratch was the DJ of the evening. Always nice seeing him at events.
Just like previous years, Chef Chuck Hughes was the host for the event, chatting with the #AirCanadaTop10 winners plus mingling with guests such as us. It was nice catching up with Chuck after 2 years of pandemic hiatus and he took a nice photo with my bro, aka MoKenny.
Now, let’s take a foodie tour and let us show you all the food items that we indulged. We don’t really need to say anything, the food speaks for itself.
Congrats to all the #AirCanadaTop10 winners!
And special thanks to @AirCanada and @enRoutemag for having us. As always, we really enjoyed this amazing event annually! C U next year!
