Growing up, I luv Hong Kong style cart noodles, it’s a traditional street food that is both delicious and comforting in Hong Kong.
Although many Cha Chan Teng places in Toronto offer cart noodles options but it offers limited toppings and they don’t specialize the entire eatery on cart noodles.
Recently, @petit.noodle 永盛車仔麵 invited us to try its Hong Kong style cart noodles and we truly luv it!
I luv the long list of food toppings that you can customize your own cart noodles. The topping offerings go on and on. Each big bowl include 3 toppings. You can order additional topping, you just have to pay extra, and the price is reasonable.
Normally, a person would order about 2-3 toppings per bowl. This time, I went all-out and I thank Petit Noodles for fulfilling my childhood bucket list of letting me order 9 toppings on my big bowl of cart noodles!
MoVernie Customized 9-Toppings Cart Noodles:
1) Abalone
2) Pork Intestine (pretty much a must order in any cart noods)
3) Shrimp Wontons
4) Cripsy Fish Skin (they serve it on a separate dish to keep it crispy)
5) Pork Blood
6) Curry Squid (also serve on a separate plate coz of its curry sauce)
7) Beef Brisket
8) Beef Tendon
9) Fish Maw
Sauce:
– Braised Beef Brisket Sauce
Condiments:
– Green Onion
– Dried Garlic
Noodle:
– Oil Egg Noodle
NOTE: If you don’t want carbs, you can select “Veggie Base” at NO extra charge.
Overall, I really enjoy this bowl of cart noodle. First off, it’s a giant big bowl with big portion. I enjoy almost every topping. In particular, the pork intestine, abalone, beef brisket, beef tendon and curry squid were very flavourful.
Only topping that I didn’t really like was the shrimp wontons. Wrap was a bit thick and the stuffing lacks flavour. Otherwise, the broth with my chosen beef brisket sauce was masterful.
The appetizer options were amazing. We enjoyed the curry fish balls and radish. The braised beef brisket was the star of the night, nicely marinated and meat was melt in my mouth.
Coupled with a nice cold lemon tea was a perfect match with the food here.
I would defintiely come back to @Petit.Noodle for more cart noodles. It’s worth my money as it’s delicious, you don’t need to travel to Hong Kong to experience a great bowl of cart noodles with nostalgic flavours.
