This is based on a true story. I know coz it’s my experience.
So…a few days ago, I posted on my social media platform that Andre de Grasse and his relay team won gold at the Men’s 4x100m. Only to be reminded by my supportive followers who informed me that they hadn’t race yet and the race won’t be happening until a few days later.
That’s when I realized the video that I watched on YouTube was an old one. But throughout the entire video, there was no footage about Tokyo 2021 or being old footage. Anyhow, I really thought Team Canada won. Anyhow, thanks to my loyal followers, I took down my post. I rarely did that, coz I usually fact check, but I guess I was beyond excited that I just did the post.
Fast forward today, Canada Men’s Relay team really won gold for the 4x100m race, did I just foresee the future? Could I actually saw this coming? Coz my prediction came true! It’s a crazy feeling.
Anyhow, it’s an interesting memory for me but congratulations to Team Canada coz they were not the favourite to win any medals at all for this team relay especially Andre de Grasse was dealing with a hamstring injury and the other runners didn’t had any good results individually on their respective races.
This proves to us, anything is possible! And when everyone comes together, form a strong alliance and work hard collectively, you can still achieve your goals with good results.
Congratulations to Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake, Brendon Rodney and Andre de Grasse!
