Basilica of St. John the Baptist – St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada

As I was walking around the downtown core of St. John’s, Newfoundland, I happened to walked by this cathedral called “Basilica of St. John the Baptist“. It attracted my attention coz it looked very beautiful from outside, especially at night when the spotlights were shinning on the exterior of the building.

What’s interesting to me was that the cathedral building and the entrance front somewhat had different colour of bricks. I think the entrance front maybe the original entrance front of a building that was no longer there and they preserved the entrance front and build a brand new cathedral at the back. That’s just my speculation, I could be wrong, but this was definitely a beautiful architecture.
