Belém Tower – Lisbon, Portugal

0

Belem TowerBelém Tower is a fortified tower located in the Santa Maria de Belém in the municipality of Lisbon, Portugal, it situated along the Lisbon shore. After grabbing some delicious Portugese tarts from Pasteis de Belem, walk over to the Belem Tower. It’s a beautiful historic building overlooking the shore. I highly recommend you to make a walk along the shoreline and then head over to the Belem Tower.

If there is a huge lineup of people trying to get up to the Belem Tower for a better view, I would recommend you not to bother. You don’t really miss much by going up there, it doesn’t worth you to wait for an hour if you are press on time to visit other landmarks. Taking photos outside the tower would suffice. However, if there isn’t a long lineup, then I suggest you to visit the tower.

img_8565NOTE: If you are not physically able or scare of tight space, I don’t suggest you to walk up the tower to the top, that’s because there is only one way to get up to the tower, via a tight twisty staircases and narrow steps. If you can’t be in tight space or walk up tight stairs, I don’t recommend you to walk up the trip.
