Canada’s Got Talent Finale had finally arrived! I was trying hard to get tickets to watch the finalists “live”, but it was a tough draw as most tickets were already distributed to finalists’ family members or distributed by Tim Hortons. However, luck came to my side when one of my twitter follower, “TammiMango” won 4 tickets to the CGT Block Party. Even though we couldn’t watch the show live but it was still good to be there in the studio, under the same roof, only differed by 2 separate rooms.
As I arrived at the Block Party, I saw free Tim Horton’s subs, unlimited beverages, unlimited titbits and cookies. DJ spinning music, along with bleachers for us to sit on. It’s a pure 100% what a block party is like.
Dina Puglise, one hard-working, dedicated host for the CGT and Breakfast Television, came and greet us. They also have to tape 2 scenes from the Block Party crowd to be inserted into the show. Since we were sitting at the centre area, we were shown on tv. It was a fun experience.
Shows started and it was great to see all the finalists again. Everyone of them are encouraging each other. Even though there is only one winner, but everyone comes out as winner as they make friendships and experiences and memories that will be valuable for them in their lifetimes.
I was also very impressed with the prizes the CGT winner was going to receive. A brand new hot ride, Nissan Skyline GTR, valued at $100,000+, a trip to Tabago, $100,000 cash and a gag spot in a hotel in Las Vegas and much much more. These are legit prizes.
