Christie Pits Park – Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Home of the Maple Leafs Intercounty Baseball League

0

Christie Pits Park is such a beautiful spacious park. It’s quite big and conveniently located right beside the Christie Subway Station and the Korean Town.

This park is historic and has plenty of space. There is a baseball diamond called “Dominico Field” where the Maple Leafs baseball team plays. Some of the former Blue Jays actually played here in the past.

MoVernie FUN FACT: Did you know that….the Maple Leafs are a member of the Intercounty Baseball League? The over 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919. Wow!

Everyone is coming out in the sun during the pandemic, but everyone is being responsible by spacing themselves from each other, provide physical distancing and I enjoyed the musicians who were playing some nice saxophone music.

This piece of land has elevation and slopes giving the park an unique landscape. There is also playground area for kids. The best part? After a nice walk, you can go buy takeout or grocery shopping nearby in Korean Town to support local, shop local and eat local.
