CNE 2018 (Let’s Go to The Ex) – Things To Do – Celebrating 140th Anniversary of the Association

Yup! The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) has just started and this year is super special as 2018 marks the 140th Anniversary of the Association. This is quite a milestone and historic. Congratulations CNE!

CNE is a tradition for my family to visit every single year and this year is no different. Our family plans to check it out once again. CNE has so much to offer and there is always something cool for you and your friends/family to do. For my family, we just like to roam around, grab some ribs and wings and listen to some good music. I think the only thing that we don’t do as much is playing those prize games for a chance to win plush toys coz me and my bro have grown up and we don’t have space for plush toys nor we don’t know what to do with them. However, we switch to attend more concerts and other entertainment at the CNE. Personally, every year, I am always excited to check out which artists or bands are performing at the Bandshell Stage every year. The CNE is always good at selecting artists from different music genre that will excite fans who enjoy different type of music.

So…..what are some of the things that you should check out when you are at the CNE18? This place is just huge, so be prepared to walk, wear comfy shoes. Depending on the weather, you may also want to bring your umbrellas. Otherwise, there are plenty of buildings or tents around to shelter you from getting wet.

MoVernie Curious Question: Do you prefer to go to CNE in the afternoon or in the evening?

For me personally, it makes me happy every time I spot the Ferris Wheel, it’s just look so beautiful especially during the evening. It looks good from the ground but look extra gorgeous from up in the air, it’s also a good way to people watch and it’s so peaceful and calm! And better yet, I think Ferris Wheel (when it’s LIT) is a perfect social media spot.

MoVernie Twitter/Instagram HotSpot: The CNE Light Sign, located beside the famous water fountain and near the Bandshell Stage is a perfect spot for Twitter and Instagram opportunities.

If you luv live music, Bandshell Stage and Northern Comfort Salon offers live music. We were checking out the band, The Washboard Union. They have recently released a new album called “What We’re Made Of” and mixing in old and new songs during their performance made the concert super amazing.

Special thank you to The Ex (CNE) for having us to cover this wonderful annual traditional event!
