When you think of Keung’s Restaurant 強記雞粥, you will think of the comfort food such as congee, noodles, rice and other casual a la carte snack. However, they also recently offered dinner combo for larger group of people for a family or friends gathering.
For our Chinese New Year’s Eve family gathering, we decided to try and order a dinner combo that serves a good 6 people dishes.
For $118 + tax, you get the following dish. Since this combo offers lotus leaf steam rice if we opted to pay $10 CDN extra, we decided to pay extra since we do want rice to complement with the other dishes.
The food quality of the dishes were delicious, good food portion and good value for the money.
Here are the list of dishes in the dinner combo at Keung’s Restaurant:
Imitation Seafood Stew (comes with imitation crab meat, scallops, fish maw, squid and mini shrimps)
Half of steam free range chicken
XO Sauce stir fry fish with vegetables
Stir fry garlic bits on bok choy
Honey sauce beef short ribs with broccoli
Lotus leaf steam Vancouver Dungeness Crab ($10 CDN extra for the lotus leaf rice but well worth paying extra for) – You could see the staff grab the live crab from the fish tank and presented it into the kitchen for preparation
Dessert – Red Bean Paste
