San Antonio, Texas has many nice hotels, restaurants and bars.
Domingo Restaurant, located inside Canopy by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk has the best view overlooking the famous Riverwalk.
MoVernie TIP: When making a reservation, try to ask for a patio table beside the Riverwalk, you will thank me later.
The decor and layout at Domingo is marvelous with a nice bar area, terrace with super high ceiling. It feels like you are somewhat walking in an ancient castle or an old building with exposed brick walls. I luv the vibe!
Domingo’s menus offer the flavours of South Texas, celebrating the culture of San Antonio with modern culinary flair.
We started off the evening with some specialty cocktails and they were refreshing and tasty.
Then, we ordered a bunch of appetizers to share.
Shareable: Halibut Ceviche – Watermelon, Lime, Cilantro, Tomato
Shareable: Short Rib Quesadilla – Asadero Cheese, Huitlacoche, Salsa Verde, Red Chile Glaze
Shareable: Classic Guacamole – Cilantro, Lime, Charred Serrano Chile, House Chips
When in Texas, got to try the Classic Guacamole. Always a crowd favourite.
And we each ordered an entree as our main meal.
Main Entree: Wagyu Flat Iron – Chile Guero, Red Chile Yukon Potatoes, Chimichurri
We all wanted medium rare and the meat was cooked perfectly. I had Wagyu many times which I am grateful for, but I think this was my 1st time having a Wagyu flat iron, which the meat was quite tender and juicy.
By the way, I really luv these Yukon potatoes, they were super crispy on the outside and nice and soft inside, the texture was so addictive!
And lastly, we ordered a dessert to share which is the classic churros with chocolate and caramel sauce along with fresh strawberries and whip cream.
It’s always nice to dine with friends and sharing the dining experience together!
