This past weekend, I was On the MOVE to the Exclusive VIP Event called “Classics. Perfected. Master Class By Fairmont Hotels & Resorts” that is being held at the Saks Fifth Avenue Toronto.
Fairmont’s talented Mixologist, Andrew Craig was at the event to show us how to make some of the iconic premium cocktails that are being served at Fairmont properties from around the world. You know this is an exclusive event when only a handful of lucky guests were invited, so I felt very honoured.
Not only I got to taste the cocktails made by Andrew but I am also able to make my own cocktail with Andrew’s guidance. I love the old fashioned at the Library Bar inside the Fairmont Royal York, so Andrew suggested we make an old fashioned with a twist, which is to add the torched Rosemay into the drink, giving it an unique aroma and flavour. I feel very proud of making my own cocktails and I got to learn some basic fundamentals and proper techniques of making tasty cocktails.
