0

The Lavazza Drive-In is happening right now until Friday, July 31, 2020. It one of the first events in Toronto that is non-virtual, which means, it’s something you and your loved ones can enjoy and do in person while maintaining physical distancing.

However, many people including myself were curious on how this drive-in protocols work to ensure physical distancing. I did an IG LIVE interview with ICFF Special Events Coordinator, Natalie and she had answered many questions for me and my followers, so you can watch it and get more answers here.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

a) Is this Lavazza Drive-In Experience Rain or Shine?

A: Yes, it’s rain or shine

b) Can people with no cars able to experience this?

A: Unfortunately, as of right now, July 20, 2020, the city bylaws do not allow any movie goers to sit and watch. They are only allowing people with vehicles to enjoy the drive-in. However, make sure to follow ICFF.ca in case the city officials may change the guidelines. As we know, the city guidelines are constantly changing.

c) Can I drive a convertible or a pickup truck?

A: You can drive a convertible or a pickup truck, but under the city bylaws, your convertible has to have your top up, no drop top, open air. Same goes to a pickup truck, you can drive in with a pickup truck but you can’t sit at the back of the pickup bed. Everyone has to be inside the vehicle with a top.

d) Can we park our car and then open the door and we sit beside our vehicles with our lawn chairs?

A: Under the city bylaws, currently, this is NOT possible. Everyone has to be inside the vehicle at all times during the film.

e) Can we go to the washroom?

A: Yes, there are portable washrooms throughout the premise. However, everyone has to wear a mask when they go to the washroom and it’s suggested that one person from each vehicle goes to the washroom and not a whole group of people.

I hope I have answer some of your questions. However, if you have any more questions or concerns, feel free to go to ICFF.ca for more updates.
