Back in September of this year, Dim Sum City was just recently opened at Toronto Famous Chinatown Centre. Mind you, it’s not the actual food, not the actual dim sum that everyone knows about, it’s a retail store. Dim Sum City is a store that is inspired by Dim Sum. Jonathan Pong, the owner of Dim Sum City loves to eat and in particular, he loves Dim Sum. Thus, he decided to think out-of-the-box and transformed the dim sum culture into reality with Dim Sum T-shirts, hats, plush toys that have characters that shaped like “Har Gao”, “Shui Mai”, “Curry Fish Balls”, “Stinky Tofu” in steam basket and much much more.
A few months ago, we talked about running a big MoVernie Contest to give out these lovely big plush toys to a lucky follower or audience.
