Last night, I got invited to attend the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) Lunar New Year Reception here in Toronto. One of the greatest news at the event was when an executive mentioned to the guests that Silversea Cruises 銀海郵輪, an International cruise line had docked its ship in Hong Kong on January 18, 2023.

This is super great news for Hong Kong as many people may have known that Hong Kong has just recently lifted many of its travel restrictions, eliminating the mandatory hotel quarantine and welcoming tourists to visit Hong Kong again. During the past 3 years of pandemic, it was very difficult for foreign tourists to visit Hong Kong as travel requirements made it difficult for people to visit Hong Kong. Thus, seeing tourists coming to visit Hong Kong is a welcome sight!

As I gather more INFO from the press release from the Hong Kong Tourism Board, HKTB has already secured 80+ Cruise Calls for 2023. This means many of the cruise lines will dock at Hong Kong as one of their cruise itineraries. This will help improve Hong Kong’s economy as well as improving its businesses and tourism industries.
