Hello everyone! It is my pleasure to interview fashion designer, Paula Callejas as we chat more about her newest collection “Urban Collection” for her Paula Callejas fashion brand.

Since we are currently in a pandemic, which everyone is doing their part to maintain physical distancing, this Q & A is being conducted via email where I submitted my questions to Paula and she responded them to me with her answers and thoughts.

Paula Callejas has been in the fashion industry for over 23 years and counting and that means she has tremendous amount of experience, skills set and most importantly, her passion and dedication to work in this competitive industry. Paula Callejas Group is a global brand that people from around the world can purchase her clothing.

In this Q & A, Paula will also discuss about what it takes to be a fashion designer, to support local businesses as well as empowering women and women supporting women.

Q & A with Fashion Designer Paula Callejas:

MoVernie: What inspires you to make the “Urban T-Shirt Collection”?

Paula: For the longest time, I am myself a Urban T shirt (love that BTW) consumer! Always looking for inspirational quotes that one way or the other have touched my life and many other wonderful women in our journey! It is the way we seize the day! Never taking myself too seriously and always trying to put a smile on someone’s face despite the circumstances, we never know what someone is going through.

MoVernie: What are some of the meanings on your t-shirt?

Paula: One of the meanings is very special to me: “Beautiful girl you were made to do hard things, so believe in yourself“. My father (may he rest in peace) always used to say this to me…

MoVernie: What quotes inspire and motivates you that you would like to share with your followers?

Paula: Quotes that are all very inspirational and motivate me one way or the other! I would like to share all of them! And would love to have suggestions as well! This is only the beginning! These quotes are basically a reminder not to give up!

MoVernie: Why did you want to be a fashion designer?

Paula: Ever since I was a little girl, I used to sew with my mother (I had a children sewing machine right next to hers) and I used to make my dolls clothing. My mother is by far my biggest inspiration, what she is capable of achieving with her own bare hands is incredible.

MoVernie: What is #WomenEmpowerment is your own words and why is it important to you?

Paula: As a women we face many challenges in very different aspects in life that it is important to remind ourselves that we CAN achieve wonderful things together.

MoVernie: Why is your t-shirt collection a great holiday gift idea?

Paula: Because during these global difficult times, reminding ourselves that there is a silver lining, also some of the proceeds are going to charity.

I would like to thank Paula for her valuable time and sharing her insights and thoughts with our readers.
