I luv ice cream and Kwartha Dairy is one of the local brands that makes great ice cream and what I like is their ability to produce so many different variety of ice cream flavours. They have season ice cream flavour as well.
They have a number of locations and the 1st one that I visited was in Barrie, Ontario. My buddy who lives in Barrie recommend me to check it out and I felt in luv with the ice cream.
There is one Kawartha Dairy store located in the town of Minden, which is a short 15-minute drive. For this Minden location, it’s a retail walk-up window. You place your order over the window. We got a seasonal flavour of “Pumpkin Spice” and it was delicious. We also ordered the popular “Death by Chocolate” and that was huge 2 scoops of fresh tasty ice cream!
Tons of parking space and yes, you heard it right, I am having ice cream in the winter. To me, ice cream is all year round. While we were sitting in our car to indulge our ice cream, we seen so many people come and in-and-out and get some ice cream home, so they are busy all year round. You just can’t say no to ice cream.
MoVernie TIP: The scoop at Kawartha Dairy are generous, they give you big scoops. So, if you order a small, it should be adequate, but if you luv ice cream so much, be prepared to eat 2 big scoops of it. I also highly recommend you to order the freshly made waffle cones instead of the plastic container, it tastes so much better with the waffle cone.
