L’Auberge Casino & Resort – Lake Charles, Louisiana

L’Auberge Casino & Resort has an interesting name with a cool vibe.

I enjoyed my stay at L’Auberge during my Press Trip with Visit Lake Charles. We were staying at the suite, it had a separate VIP entrance with a separate lobby area that you can chill. Also, it had a separate set of elevators only for the VIP guests. And the elevators can only access to the 2nd floor where all the suite rooms were located.

Nice chandelier, decor, flowers and carpet patterns. As I walked along the hallway, I could see the nice artwork that were showcasing the nature and the flowers.

My suite was huge! The moment I walked in, there was a very nice foyer, the L-Shaped velvet sofa was my favourite spot. I also like the natural sunlight penetrating thru the nice set of bay windows that overlooked the resort swimming pool and the whirlpool. A big king sized bed with over 8 pillows to choose from (LOL). I also like the desk, the chair, the orange crystal sink, the fridge, the safe to put my valuables.

And better yet, as I pushed the double doors, I saw a big white tub. There was a His and Her sections which were located opposite to each other. Each section had its own sink with all the essentials. One side of the section, however, had a TV screen that was embedded into the mirror. There was also a shower stall that you can sit in it with a high ceiling sprinkler. There was a toilet section with a bidet and I was glad there was a door that closes the toilet area for some privacy.

The surprise came when I turned on the facet and the hot water to the bath tub came from the ceiling. Yes, you heard it right, the water flowed from the ceiling (check the video below). This was the 1st time I experienced water coming from the ceiling. It was definitely worth a tik tok moment!

They also provided me with bath robes and slippers (nice touch).

The only minor drawback was that…I asked for bubble bath and they said they don’t have it. For a lovely bath tub with water coming down from a ceiling, I would expect to have bubble bath to complement such an epic experience.

Otherwise, I luv my suite and my stay at L’Auberge.

The casino was nice too, the staff were courteous. I dined at the Asia restaurant for a late night comfort food dining experience. The food was alright, not too amazing but it does the job. They now serve Japanese ramen which I ordered, it was alright. The pork were the authentic pork you ordered from authentic Japanese ramen shop. But the beauty about this Asia restaurant was that they close late even during evenings which is key after a long night from the casino or wanted to stay late for some late night food.
