McRib is back! Starting on January 30, 2024, McDonald’s Canada is bringing back the McRib, which has been asked over and over many times by its loyal McDonald’s fans. And their voices are heard as you can get one for a limited time only.
Apparently, the last time McRib was available 10 years ago back in 2014.
I only recalled when I was a kid and tried the McRib one time. Back then as a kid, I prefer Filet O Fish, McChicken or Big Mac, but this time I ordered the McRib combo and it was delicious.
It came in a rectangular brown box, as I opened the package, I could see a very saucy sandwich. Let me warn you, the sandwich has so much sauce, it could get messy but it’s worth it to get your fingers saucy.
The bun was somewhat like a submarine shaped buns, no sesame on the bun, there was lots of BBQ sauce with loads of chopped raw onions and a few slices of pickles.
Here comes my 1st bite, the patty was a thick piece of juicy, tender pork sausage patty. It’s somewhat a bit odd coz it’s called McRib yet there were no bones, so you can take a nice bite without worrying any bones in it.
I luv raw onions so I really enjoyed it. Overall, the size portion was decent, I felt this sandwich was nothing like any other McDs sandwiches. You could tasted a variety of chicken sandwiches offered by McDs or beef burgers, but this McRib is in a league of its own.
I enjoyed it very much and super glad that I tried it.
However, I do have to say, inflation is a real thing when after tax and everything, this McRib combo including a medium fries and medium pop drink to be a total of $13.55 CDN (after tax), that’s steep and quite substantial. I normally would rather a plate of Chinese fried rice or a bowl of wonton noodles.
Nevertheless, this McRib experience was worth my money (which is rare for me to say).
No one knows how limited time offer this McRib is going to be available in Canada, but enjoy while you can!
