Madiba Beach Cafe is a popular spot for the locals and the tourists. It’s overlooking the beach with beautiful view of the ocean. And of course, the food is here is delicious and fantastic.
If you are driving in, there isn’t whole lot of parking at the Madiba Beach Cafe. From what I remembered, there were about 2 parking spots. I suggest you park on the side streets or a little further down the road and walk over to the cafe.
There were a few high stools that you could sit along the bar. There were a number of picnic table set up for larger groups. There were free ranging chickens walking on the beach, that was quite interesting.
I was told the seafood here is amazing, so I ordered the garlic shrimps along with provisions and rice. I ordered a Kabuli bottle of lager beer to flush down the food. Super refreshing! Another journalist ordered the seared tuna and he told me the tuna was nicely done as well.
And don’t forget about ordering the dessert. The peanut ice cream is da bomb! It’s made in-house and the flavour, the texture was to die for!
MoVernie TIP: As Jerry Grymek, our Canadian PR from LMA Communications suggested. He ordered the peanut ice cream and made a side order of tangerine jam. He pour all the jam on top of the ice cream and mixed it. The fresh jam and the ice cream worked so perfectly. Jerry definitely took the PB & Jam to the next level! You should try it and see for yourself.
