Moonlight & Pines B&B – Port Hope, Ontario, Canada [ONTARIO TRAVEL SERIES]

0

During our Port Hope Press Trip, we stayed at the Moonlight & Pines Bed and Breakfast (B&B). This is my 3rd time in my life staying at B&B. With the other two times staying at Summerhill Manor B&B and Woodland Gardens B&B, both are also located in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada.

There are many different B&B options in Port Hope and I enjoyed every one of them so far. What I found the MOST IMPORTANT element for me during my stay at the B&B is the amazing hosts. Everyone of them are very accommodating, courteous and their home cooking skills are amazing. I eat out a lot, so having home cook meals are very precious for me. And a great host really makes a whole lots of difference in the B&B stay.

Since my MoVernie Crew Member, John was part of this Port Hope Press Trip, we needed a separate bed for John since the Private Suite only have a giant king bed. Of course, I am taking that comfy king size bed. But hey, I work hard to earn that good sleep. LOL

Prior to our stay, we reached out to our host, Helen and she was very accommodating. What I like about Moonlight & Pines B&B is the beautiful scenic drive. Mazda Canada had kindly provided us with a beautiful 2019 Mazda MX-5 RF, which is a 2-seater and the car hugs the road and it’s such a treat driving around the corners. This roadster is built for such beautiful curvy roads.

As we approached to the B&B, it went through a nice winding road, through the forests and then we arrived. There was plenty of space to park our vehicle and it just parked nicely beside the tall trees. You could hear nice tree leaves sound, the birds chirping, and it’s just felt so relaxing and peaceful.

Then, we rang the door bell and our host, Helen came and greeted us. She guided us down the stairs. The private suite was located down the basement level. Although it’s on the basement level, there were light fixtures that made the space looked bright. Also, there were natural sunlight passing through the windows and when you opened the door, you could walk out to the patio and the lawn.

There was a pool table that we can play pool. Tons of board games and television to watch movies. There was a nice bathroom, a closet and a big comfy king-size bed. I really enjoyed watching movies while sitting on the comfy sofa and there were blankets provided to us.

Moonlight & Pines B&B is located close to the Ganaraska Forest and horseback riding at the Trickle Creek Farm. If you want to go to downtown Port Hope, it’s only about 20-25 minute drive, so it’s not bad.

After a comfortable sleep and we woke up on the next morning, the breakfast was prepared by Helen and it was one of the highlights. The dining table was facing the backyard and you could see the hills, valleys, forests and the birds came flying around was amazing.

I had my sunnyside up eggs along with other breakfast items. The juice was fresh and tasty.

We have to say a special THANK YOU to our host Helen for making special vegan breakfast dishes to John, our MoVernie crew member. Coz John is vegan and Helen specifically grabbed some ingredients and made some special dishes for John. We thanked Helen for being so flexible and accommodating. Or else, John may have been starved. LOL

If you ever planning to visit Port Hope and want to stay near the nature and its peaceful surroundings, also enjoying a relaxing and peaceful stay, consider Moonlight & Pines B&B.
