Alright, this is always the best part comes the NBA Playoff, which is….who is going to win the NBA Championship?
In the past few years, it was always the Cleveland Cavaliers (East) vs Golden State Warriors (West), pretty boring right?
I think this year, there will be new teams competing for the NBA Finals.
Here are my predictions:
Eastern Conference: Philadelphia 76ers vs Cleveland Cavaliers
Western Conference: Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors
NBA Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Houston Rockets
NBA Championship: Cleveland Cavaliers
I know, I know, when you saw my prediction, you possibly saying “WTF? No Raptors?”. As much as I want the Raptors to go far, in fact, this is the year they should utilize the opportunity to go far, but at the end of the day, it’s still King James’ World.
Boston Celtics won’t stand a chance this year when both Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, two major players on the roster are out for the season. The Cavs may still need time to jell since they traded a bunch of players back during the trading deadline. However, Lebron is Lebron, he will take over and I just don’t see any of the Eastern Conference will stand a chance to go deep to the Finals unless King James is totally injured.
In fact, even if there is a team that can give the Cavs a run for the money, it will be the Philadelphia 76ers. I really believe in this team and I will call them the “Dark Horse” team in the east, they are young, athletic, versatile, big and strong. Ben Simmons and Joel Embid will be a force, plus veterans such as J.J. Redick, Amir Johnson, this team will be a force.
As for the West, I think Rockets and Warriors are really deep in both benches. They play a similar game and shooting lots of 3’s. But this year, Steph Curr’s injury is unpredictable. Not sure how Kevin Durant fares. And between both teams, I think the Rockets has a better, taller front court than the Warriors.
So…these are my NBA Playoff Predictions, let me know your thoughts and your predictions.
And MoVernie is outta here!
