MUST WATCH! Twisted Metal – Highly Recommended – Exclusively on Paramount Plus Canada

I luv playing video games back in my younger days. However, for the record, I didn’t know much about the Twisted Metal video game back then and don’t know the story plot in the game at all. Thus, my feedback or my review is based solely on the TV Show that I binge watched on Paramount Plus Canada.

First of all, I luv this show! It’s addictive! It makes you want to watch one episode after another. From a person that has no prior knowledge of what this story plot was about in the video game, the TV Show was very easy to understand and right from the get-go, just a few mins into the show, I get the general spew of what this whole story is about.

Anthony Mackie was funny, has a passion, has a heart and he did a great job taking the lead in this show. I also really like Sweet Tooth, he is freaky, scary clown yet, if you look into his world, you could understand why he turned into what he is today. I actually think he is a loyal and a solid person that you can count on. Sweet Tooth actually is my favourite character so far in Season 1. He is adorable.

This show reminds me of a bit of everything, a bit of Mad Max, Dead Pool, SnowPiercer, Grand Theft Auto, it’s interesting. The story plot put me at the edge of my seat as there seems to be something unexpected going on the moment you thought one thing was resolved and then the next came right at you.

The show made me feel like I am part of the show and be part of the adventurous journey with John Doe and Quiet. The directing and writers were superb as they found an unique way during the season to tell the audience how these characters became who they are today and what they gone thru over the years.

It’s nice to see Canadian talent, Neve Campbell in the show.

I really like Evelin, the orange Subaru Impreza. I luv car chase, cars racing and this show has plenty. I always wonder what car John Doe is going to drive next. Who wants to be the Milk Man? Coz I want to!

If you have to ask me if there is any flaw in this show so far? Not really? But I did find it annoying that Quiet constantly try to escape or leave John Doe even after they just escaped from the bad guys. That annoys me a little bit, coz as an audience, I want to take a breather and hope the tandem can stay together a bit before one of them wants to ditch the other person.

It’s a fast pace, loads of action paced 1st season, luv the cliffhanger at the end and I can’t wait to watch Season 2 when it’s ready. And trust me, 30 mins of each episode is a good time length to watch the 10 episodes of Season 1.

I highly recommend you to give this “Twisted Metal” a watch on Paramount Plus Canada!
